Wenger has title belief

Arsene Wenger: Believes Arsenal answered some big questions by beating West Ham

The Gunners fell behind to Carlton Cole's goal early in the second half but rallied to win 3-1 thanks to a brace from Theo Walcott and a late strike from the returning Lukas Podolski.
The result took Arsenal back to the top of the Premier League as Liverpool lost to Manchester City, and Wenger acknowledged after the match that his team would have been criticised if they had missed such a chance.
Asked whether his side had answered some big questions, Wenger said on the club's official website: "Yes. I agree and would we not have won we would have had to answer many questions today.
"That was a kind of game that of course many people would have questioned us had we not won today and even more if we had lost."
Wenger believes Arsenal have shown that they have the fighting spirit to sustain their form, although they face a tough game away to in-form Newcastle United on Sunday.
Questioned on whether his team had proved they were title contenders, Wenger added: "Yes. For us we have another good game now on Sunday at Newcastle who are in full confidence as well so that will be another test.
"The team wants to do well and the character is great. The concentration is top. I believe we had a difficult period just now but honestly that was mainly down to the schedule we had.
"I think that the schedule was absolutely horrendous but we can show that in the future."
Wenger was also delighted to end a tricky run without a victory and hopes Arsenal will now be able to build some momentum going into the second half of the season.
"When you do not win for four games it's important to come back for the confidence level of your environment and yourself as well to win."
